The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty. Proverbs 21:5

To be diligent means that you have an awareness and care about your work or duties. The diligent person plans ahead and prepares. This person will prosper because they have thought of different scenarios and outcomes. This will help the diligent person to slow down and make the right choices for success. However the person who is hasty is quick to make a move. With the hasty person there is no planning or no counseling from others. This person will come to poverty because they are not taking the time to think through different scenarios. May we be diligent in planning for the future.
