Guard Your Lips

Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin. Proverbs 13:3

It seems as if everyone today wants to be heard. We all want to share what we think because we believe that our opinions are correct and that if others could see things from our point of view they would change. This could very well be the case. On the other hand it could also be possible that we need to hear what others have to say because we could be the ones with a blurred view point. For us to grow we must listen more than we speak. We are always quick to share something only to find out that we have hurt someone, or hurt ourselves in a very personal way by hurting those we love. May we take the advise of Solomon and guard our lips. We can use our mouths to build up or to tear down others. Will you guard your lips today? It could save you from ruin. Have a blessed day.
