Part 4 of 4
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:13-17
I put on the Armor of God by applying it through prayer and affirmations. Let’s take a look at the last two pieces of armor: salvation and God’s word.
I will say and pray something like this:
Salvation: thank you Lord that I am saved, healed, restored and fulfilled. Because of you I have salvation in Christ.
I have been saved, I am being saved and I will be saved from hell and death because of your mercy and grace.
God’s Word: your Word is alive and active Father. It has power to demolish strongholds of the enemy.
I put your word in my heart so that I will not sin against you. I will use your word as a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
Thank you Lord for these awesome truths. When we understand and commit ourselves to these truths they are armor to protect us from the enemy.
May we apply the armor of God everyday. It will help remind us of the faithfulness of our Lord. Let the truth replace your way of thinking. #timetochange #lifeundertheson
