A new way to pray...

Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. Psalm 86:11

This is a great example of a prayer. David is asking the Lord to teach him because he doesn't know it all. David ask the Lord for an undivided heart because his heart is divided. David is humble, honest and straight to the point. Could it be that we should pray like this? If you find reading the Bible to be boring, ask the Lord to make it come alive to you. If you are struggling with certain sins that you enjoy ask the Lord to make them disgusting to you. The goal of David's prayer is to learn the ways of God and to fear the Lord with all his heart. What is your goal? God can handle the truth but we try to hide it before the Lord to save face. He is the one who saves. Open up with the Lord and be specific about changes that need to be made in your life. May we be open and honest with the Lord. He will help us grow and change. #timetochange #lifeundertheson
