Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:15-20
The days are most certainly evil. The tendency in the US is to trust in the political party that you line up with. Christians will holler, fight and stand up for their political views. When it comes to God's views we get quiet. Maybe our zeal needs to be for the Kingdom of God instead of the kingdoms of the earth. No need to be angry with those who are lost. They are victims of the evil one. We should pray and speak Gospel truths to them for the salvation of their souls. For those of us who trust in the Messiah, let us seek his will. May we be lead by his Holy Spirit with no back biting or hatred to those who disagree but only love and forgiveness. May we use our voices to sing praises to our Savior, Jesus Christ. May we use our voices to build up others instead of tearing each other down. May we be careful to follow Christ and not a party line. #timetochange #lifeundertheson
