No need to retaliate...

When they hurled their insults at him(Jesus), he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. 1 Peter 2:23

I am sure there are people in your life who are talking bad about you. They may not agree with your religious or political views and have deemed you an enemy. The temptation from the evil one is to belittle them and prove them wrong. On social media and in other social settings we have a mentality to pay back insult for insult. However, this was not the strategy for the Lord Jesus. When Christ was insulted, spit upon, mocked and beaten, he humbled himself and kept quiet. He was confident in the truth of who he is. Instead of standing up for himself, he trusted in his Father who judges justly. The truth will prevail in the end and God will make all things right. May we be like our Lord and Savior, keeping our mouths closed, trusting in our Father to make all things right. #timetochange #lifeundertheson
