Sober Prayers

The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. 1 Peter 4:7

Time is short. It is time for us to get our priorities in order. We are encouraged to stay sober minded and alert so that we may communicate effectively with God. The time for lukewarm and halfhearted prayers is over. God is drawing us into deeper fellowship with himself. God wants our undivided attention in our prayer life. We are to know God’s word and pray his will for our families and our community. Being sober minded is having the correct awareness of the times. The end of all things is near.
