Trust Who?

Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe. Proverbs 28:26

Have you ever thought, "I don't trust anyone, the only person that I can trust is myself." We have all believed this lie at some point in our lives. No one has lied to me more than I have. No one has let me down more than I have. It seems to me that the last person I should trust is me. I have great news. We were never meant to trust in ourselves. We are created to trust fully in the Lord. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding means that we are to trust in the Lord and follow his instructions. When Christ tells us to repent he is commanding us to stop trusting in ourselves. We must put our trust in him. When we trust in him we will obey his teachings and the world will see Christ in us the hope of glory. We will live in freedom from sin and in freedom from ourselves. #timetochange#lifeundertheson
